AI follow-up messages for quotes that went quiet
Free lesson 2 · About 8 minutes · Updated October 14, 2026. By AI Automation Education.
Most quotes do not get a reply the first time. A short, polite follow-up wins some of them back. ChatGPT can draft the messages in your voice in a minute. You decide when to send and to whom.
The idea
Three short messages, spaced out, each with one clear purpose. Stop the moment the customer replies, accepts or says no.
| When | Purpose | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 2 business days after sending | Check they received it | 1 to 2 sentences |
| 5 to 7 days after | Offer to answer questions | 2 sentences |
| 2 weeks after | Final friendly check-in, no pressure | 2 sentences |

Edit before you send
- Cut anything that sounds like a robot wrote it.
- Make sure the job and name are right.
- Add your required opt-out line if you send texts.
- Delete any promise you cannot keep.
Keep a simple stop list
Write down, in a sheet or your phone, who replied, who accepted, who declined and who asked not to be contacted. Never message those people again about that quote.
Want it automatic?
If you send a lot of quotes, a small system can run this for you with the stop rules built in. Read our practical guide to quote follow-up automation.
